Its impressive location boasts shops, restaurants, cultural attractions, and not to mention some amazing views. Some of the top amenities at the Ghent Marriott Hotel include complimentary wi-fi, luxurious bedding, a flat-screen tv, a mini-fridge, and more. All the rooms are spacious and offer you a superb place to stay during your time in the city. Each room also includes a safe and room service is available at all times.

Breakfast is available for an extra price and it is known for being very good. Some of the best points of staying at the Marriott Ghent Hotel during your time in the city include the central location and the cleanliness inside. There is also a fitness room that you can take full advantage of during your stay if you want to keep on top of things, in addition to a bar and restaurant.

The lounge area downstairs is a beautiful place to enjoy a drink, especially with the amazing view that is right on the doorstep.

Several customers have said that the breakfast upgrade is a little on the expensive side and not really worth the extra cost. The service is top-quality with the staff of the Pillows Hotel Ghent going above and beyond to make sure that your stay is an amazing one. There are different standards of luxury rooms available depending on how extravagant you want to be, including rooms with a balcony, and even suites with VIP features. There is both a lounge and a restaurant that you can enjoy during your time in Ghent.

The beds are extremely comfortable and some other amenities in the room that you might enjoy include a minibar and coffee machine. The guests seem to be very happy with both the staff and the service at this hotel, where nothing is too much to ensure that you are comfortable.

One of the only downsides of staying at Pillows Ghent is that it can get quite noisy particularly if you have a room in the front of the building, this is due to the central location and cannot be avoided.

There are over 40 rooms at this hotel and all are spacious and with modern decor to make your stay a happy one. The most basic of the rooms available at Harmony Hotel Ghent are the “cosy” ones, which are found on the first floor. But even these ones are absolutely beautiful and include everything that you could need. The majority of the more luxurious rooms in the hotel have jetted tubs, and the room that doesn’t has a walk-in shower and a balcony.

Some other features that are included no matter what type of room you stay in include wifi, a flat-screen tv, minibar, and a work desk. There is a complimentary buffet breakfast served every morning at an outdoor or indoor seating area depending on your preference. Tapas are also served every evening at the bar free of charge because it is included in the price of your stay. The food available is said to be very tasty and there is also an extensive drinks menu.

One of the great things about this hotel is that it has a heated outdoor pool! Also, the location is superb with some rooms having stunning views over the historical centre.

Despite these appealing extras, Harmony does not have a full restaurant or a spa, which was a little offputting to some previous guests. There are pros and cons to staying at Harmony during your time in Ghent but the advantages definitely outweigh the negatives so it is one worth considering!

Hotel Harmony Ghent is located at Kraanlei 37. A night at the hotel will cost you between € 169 to € 248 for a double room (Cosy to Suite) with breakfast never included in the price but available for € 21 pp. However, when booking directly through the website, the rates are much cheaper and include breakfast (€ 149,70 to € 220,80).

All the rooms are very clean and decorated in a way that is pleasing to the eye with all the amenities that you could need. There is also breakfast served for an extra fee and it is very good. Breakfast is served at the top floor that has glass walls on three sides so you can enjoy the view over Ghent and the river.

The staff at the River Ghent Hotel is friendly and accommodating to all your needs. Some feedback from previous guests has shown that the car park of the hotel is a little pricey and can be very hectic to get in/out of, especially during busy times of the day. There is a small bar in the hotel but no restaurant, but luckily there are many amazing places to eat and drink nearby.

Overall and by general feedback, it’s clear that this is one of the top hotels in Ghent, Belgium, especially since it’s one of the more budget-friendly options.

Breakfast is not included in the price, however, it’s possible to book separately for € 21 pp. In some cases, you might find a deal where breakfast is included (We stayed here in February 2020 for €109 for an executive room with breakfast thanks to Secret Escapes!).

Parking is not available at the accommodation, but Parking Vrijdagsmarkt is only 50m away. Children age 0-18 are welcome. Extra beds and triple rooms are available. Pets are not allowed.

The most popular thing about this hotel seems to be the location and with many of the cities bars, restaurants and more nearby, it’s easy to see why that is a big selling point.

Guests at this hotel are thoroughly cared for and this shows with all the smaller touches that are made to welcome you.

You can find the hotel right at the main train station in Ghent (Gent-Sint-Pieters Station), making it easy to get to all the main places in the area and easy access to other sights in Belgium.

There are three types of rooms available to you; standard, classic, and deluxe. All look attractive with crisp white bedding and modern decor. The only thing that changes slightly from room to room are some of the facilities. Some of the things that you can enjoy include wifi, a flat-screen tv, minibar and more. The deluxe room includes a terrace and a tub right in the middle of the bedroom, which is pretty cool.

A breakfast buffet is served every morning at Hotel Carlton Gent and it is known to be a big hit with guests. The breakfast is made fresh on the spot for you and to your liking.

It is quite a small hotel compared to some of the other best hotels in Ghent Belgium but it does promise a memorable stay. After a busy day exploring the bustling city, this is an amazing home away from home to return to!

There is free parking at this hotel and a bar/lounge, plus a fitness centre! Some in-room amenities include air conditioning, a flat-screen tv, a minibar, a safe, and soundproof rooms.

Staff are said to be very friendly and accommodating, whatever your needs may be. Although the hotel has been upgraded for your comfort, all the original features exist which is really cool! Due to the fact that it is not as central as other hotels, it promises a peaceful nights sleep but with plenty of transport links nearby, it is still easy to get to the hustle and bustle of downtown Ghent. One of the only negative points about this hotel is that there is no restaurant and bar included, but there are still many of those nearby.

The hotel is also situated outside of the low emission zone, so for those who drive an older car, you can’t reach this hotel perfectly without trouble.

If you want to experience some understated elegance during your time in Ghent, you might want to give this place a try.

#8 Hotel Gravensteen

The memorizing Hotel Gravensteen is in an ideal location right across the street from the Castle of the Counts (Dutch: Gravensteen) and close to other landmarks. If you are interested in the history of Ghent, it’s definitely worth staying in this unique spot.

There are a total of 49 rooms in the hotel and they include all the amenities you could need such as wifi, a flat-screen tv, coffee/tea making facilities, and more. The rooms themselves are simple yet comfortable, and there are a number of different options going right the way up to a suite. An appetizing breakfast buffet is served every morning and this always seems to be a big hit with guests.

The bar downstairs, ‘De Donjon’, has been recently renovated and includes some of the most incredible Belgian beers that you will ever try. Next to the bar is a private terrace, where it is absolutely beautiful to sit with a drink on a warm day.

Guests from all over the world have enjoyed staying at Hotel Gravensteen and overall it has a good reputation. However, no hotel is perfect and there are a few minor drawbacks to staying here. The free wifi is known to be a little temperamental in certain parts of the hotel and some previous guests also note the decor as being “dated”. Although the staff is friendly, the reception is not manned 24/7 which is not ideal if you have any problems. Overall though, Hotel Graventeen is a good hotel that you should consider staying at during your time in the city.

Hotel Gravensteen is located at Jan Breydelstraat 35. A night at the hotel will cost you between € 77 to € 206 for a double room (Budget to Suite Rooms). Breakfast is not included in the price, but can be booked separatly for € 18 pp.

This is a small, elegant hotel that actually only opened its doors in 2017 but it’s already proving to be one of the most popular ones in Ghent. The Post Hotel Ghent is located right in the centre and is housed in what originally was the post office building (hence the name).

The rooms have a very cosy feel to them: they are warm, welcoming, and decorated very well with a unique touch that will leave you absolutely spellbound. All the usual amenities that you would expect are included in the rooms, such as wifi, 24/7 service, air conditioning, a flat-screen tv, and housekeeping.

1989 The Post Hotel Ghent includes a library and its prided possession is the cocktail bar downstairs, named The Cobbler. Relaxing at The Cobbler after sightseeing for the day is definitely the best way to relax. The ambience in the bar/restaurant and actually just the entire hotel is amazing, thanks to the staff being relaxed and passionate about providing excellent customer service.

Previous guests have said that the hotel parking is a little more expensive than what would presume when paying to stay at the hotel. The area can also be a little noisy in certain rooms but that is to be expected given the central location.

One of the best things about the hotel is no doubt the amazing dining experience and the design of the rooms, which, in general, are very attractive. On the whole, Hotel 1989 The Post Ghent has a great reputation and is definitely one of the best hotels in Ghent Belgium so make sure to consider it during your time visiting the city.

The 1898 Post Hotel Ghent is located at Graslei 16. A night at the hotel will cost you between € 236 to € 431 for a double room (Small Private Room to Superior Suite – many different room types). For a more affordable place to stay during your time in the city, but still somewhere very nice as a base, you could choose the Holiday Inn Ghent Expo.

The beds are comfortable and your room itself will have all the amenities that you could need during your time there. This includes free wifi, a bar/lounge, a fitness centre, air conditioning, a flat-screen tv, room service, and more.

The Holiday Inn Ghent is located in a central location with lots of transport options to get anywhere in the city, including a tram stop 100 metres away providing a link every 10 minutes to the historical centre.

In terms of decor and general upkeeping, feedback from previous guests might suggest that it could do with an update.

There is no doubt that there are more luxurious places to stay in Ghent but for the price and considering everything available at the Ghent Holiday Inn, this would still be a solid choice too.

Staff throughout the hotel are friendly and said to be very helpful too. There is plenty of parking at the hotel and while the views are nothing to boast about (consisting of the local IKEA), it still provides an enjoyable and convenient stay for the majority of guests.

There’s also the option of staying at the very similar Holiday Inn Express Ghent, which is situated close to the hospital and the E17, which would be a solid option for business people needing to be on the road early or something similar.
