This 5-star medieval castle has been beautifully restored and offers 34 luxurious rooms. There are 5 types of rooms available: comfort- and luxury rooms, suits, and junior suits. Differing only in size.

Facilities

In the spa area, you’ll find a hammam, Finnish sauna, infrared seats, and an experience shower which are exclusively available for hotel guests. A swimming pool and jacuzzi are not available in the wellness centre.

If you want to use the wellness area you have to make reservations at the reception of this castle hotel.

All the rooms are 33m² except for the deluxe rooms which are 37m². There are 6 different suites available.

A sitting room and possibly a connecting door, depending on which suite you book, is included in the suite. From the private balcony, you have a picturesque view of the lovely garden.

If you want to visit the surroundings, the château is a 10 min drive away from the Cathedral de Saint Aubin and the Belfort.

All 25 rooms and suites at the hotel are elegantly furnished with either a double bed or twin beds of soft down. All rooms have a marble bathroom complete with hairdryer and luxury bathroom supplies.

You have 4 different room types to choose from: standard single room, superior twin room, deluxe business room, and an executive room. The biggest difference is the size of the room. The suites are the biggest and are 55m².

Good to know if you come by electrical car, the hotel has a charging point available which you can access for free if you are a guest.

The breakfast includes a buffet of both warm and cold foods, as well as sweet and savory items. You can enjoy the view of Aartselaar park from the breakfast room.

The city of Anthisnes isn’t that big to spend a day visiting different tourist attractions. But 6 km from the town is the Grotte de Comblain and 15 km away is the city of Luik.

Every room is designed with modern features and raw materials to give off a charming vibe. All suites have a double bed and an excellent ensuite bathroom.

The distinctions between them will be in how they look (colour), their size, and the view of the garden.

In summer, from June until September, you can stay in one of the 9 glamping tents.

They feel very luxurious and all have a Wifi connection. Every tent has a 360 degrees mesh wall to keep the bugs out, and the fresh breeze in. The terrace has a table with two chairs, and the view from here of the castle is breathtaking.

To give you an even more luxurious experience, they offer an outdoor swimming pool (which opens in May), a hot tub and a tennis court.

The château also has its own gastronomic restaurant headed by Seppe Nobels where you can enjoy fine dining.

At La Chapelle, they wholeheartedly embrace “Farm to Plate” to reduce the environmental impact while still providing an organic and nutritious food experience, and appreciating the culinary natural wonders of the Condroz and the pristine Ardennes, which are combined with global tastes.

In summer they collaborate with other chefs and make a 6-course menu for you to discover.

Amazing breakfast ! And I didn’t expect that for the price the access to the swimming pool and jacuzzi were included. Next time I would love to spend more time and enjoy the cocktails and the restaurant in this lovely place.

It’s a breathtaking view of the surrounding scenery from the castle. It was built on top of a rock in the valley of the river ‘L’Homme’. Being in the middle of a forest, it’s very inviting to go hiking or check out the wildlife and the fishponds filled with Fario trout.

The suites are designed to give you a taste of living in a castle, complete with all the modern amenities you’ve come to expect.

The annexe building has seven family houses. Each separate home has its own living room and balcony, as well as two bedrooms on the upper level.

The 1350 acres of woodland surrounding the castle make it look like something out of a fairytale. Château de Mirwart has 20 unique residences, each with its own atmosphere divided over 3 separate buildings.

The ‘Tour de Dinant‘, on the other hand, has the exceptional atmosphere of a medieval donjon. The Suites, Cottages, and Tour de Dinant can accommodate up to 66 people in total.

In front of the castle is a park of 2.5 ha with a number of old trees accompanied by a pond, and a lane to the Kapelweg.

Going from standard 1,2,3 up until 4-person rooms. They also have a family room available as well as a superior 1 or 2-person room. The room sizes go from 22m² up to 40 m².

Unfortunately, there is no spa or wellness center on the property. But you can visit Aquadroom which is located in Maaseik as well.

An extended breakfast buffet is included in the price.

The hotel also offers different arrangements, like the castle arrangement where you get a discount starting with 2 nights. Another one is the romantic discover arrangement, which includes a minimum of 2 nights, a 3-course dinner one day and a 4-course dinner the other. And you can get a ticket to the Archeological museum of Maaseik.

Fantastic place if you want to cycle or walk and enjoy a very good diner.

As far as the surroundings go, don’t miss visiting Lake Genval. Where you can take a stroll or row a boat. The Sonian forest is also pretty close at 5.6 km from the hotel. Which is 4383 acres large and spreads over the regions of Belgium. It’s perfect for a day of hiking with family or friends.

If you are in castle mode, only 2.7 km away from the hotel you will find Château de Rixensart.

Rixensart Castle, a magnificent example of Brabant heritage dating from the 17th century, is one of Belgium’s most famous castles.

Rixensart Castle is a beautiful example of 17th-century Brabant architecture. The gardens follow the design of André Le Nôtre, and Princess de Mérode chose the interior decoration.
